Raptors Baseball Season Starts Off 3-2 in Myrtle Beach, SC

The Montgomery College baseball season is underway as the team won 3 out of five games in Myrtle Beach, SC. The Raptors won their first two games of the trip on Friday, March 2nd defeating Suffolk Community College 6-5 in the morning and then taking down Manchester University JV 13-5 in the afternoon. On the morning of March 3rd MC had a tough bill against Olney Central, a team that won 40 plus games last season, as the Raptors held their own in the early innings but fell to the club from Olney, IL 10-1. MC quickly bounced back in the afternoon game as they took down Penn State DuBois 4-2. The Raptors finished up their trip against the Kankakee Community College Cavaliers, the reigning DII World Series Champions, where they lost 10-0.

The Raptors next  four games are at home as their game against Hood College JV at 3:00 pm was cancelled due to weather on Wednesday, March 7th. The Raptors home opener will be a doubleheader on Friday, March 9th against CCAC-Boyce starting at 12:00 pm and another doubleheader on Saturday, March 10th against CCBC Essex stating at 12:00 pm.
