Carroll traveled to Montgomery College yesterday and lost by a score of 0-10.
The Lynx would hold off the Montgomery attack for a while, allowing their first goal in the 31st minute. The floodgates opened in the 61st minute when Nathan Burndely would be sent off with a red card. Montgomery would score six goals against a ten man side, finishing the game 0-10.
Goalkeeper Sammy León continues to impress even when the game doesnt go Carroll's way, recording 12 saves in the contest. This brings his total through four games to a whopping 46. Head Coach Tom O'Brien commented on León's performance, stating "his saves in this game were remarkable."
The Lynx showed off a lot of endurance in this matchup, traveling with a shorter bench than normal. Seven Carroll players would play a full 90 minutes including Eric Wojtkowiak who has been a juggernaut this season. He has only missed 10 of gametime so far this season.
The Lynx travel off to Chesapeake College on Tuesday, Sept 13 at 4 p.m.
