Seahawks Roll Raptors by 29

NORTH EAST, Md. - Cecil put together another dominant home performance Wednesday night, defeating the Montgomery Raptors 93-64. 

The Seahawks and Raptors went back-and-forth in the opening stage of the game, resulting in a 11-10 lead for Montgomery at the 16:46 mark. The one-point advantage marked the final lead for the Raptors, as Dominick Carrington's jumper eight seconds later handed the keys to Cecil for the rest of the game.

Five Seahawks finished in double figures, led by yet another double-double from Vernon Simmons. Marlon Lewis finished one board shy of a double-double himself and had 14 points. Simmons and Lewis combined for six steals and five blocked shots as well.

With the win, Cecil jumps to 12-9 (6-2 MD JUCO) on the season. They are also 4-1 in Region 20 Division II play after tonight.

Turning Point

After Carrington's jumper gave Cecil the lead in the first, the Seahawks would outscore Montgomery 37-21 leading up to the end of the half. Simmons led with nine points in the half, while Jordan Strickland chipped in nine.
