Megan Lord (Glassboro) tallied two goals and added one assist while Ashley Engler (Williamstown) collected a goal and an assist to lift the RCGC women's soccer team to a stunning 3-0 triumph over No. 4 ranked Montgomery College Rockville on Sunday in the season opener.
Roadrunners' goalie Jenni DeVault (Kingsway) played all 90 minutes and stopped all five shots she faced in recording the shutout.
Briana Fiorenza (Williamstown) had the assist on the game winning goal by Lord.
"Montgomery is a very good, but young team and I expect them to go far," Ruttler said following the win. "We capitalized on their mistakes. Overall, it was a complete team effort by RCGC."
Coach Ruttler's Roadrunners, listed among the top 15 teams in the nation, will face Mercer County College on August 31 at 4:30 pm in their home opener.
