Lions defeat Raptors 78-63

The Lions advance to 16-10 on the season and 7-4 in conference play after defeating the Montgomery Raptors 78-63.

The start of the game was close until the Lions went on a 12-0 run to flip the game from down 12-8, to up 8, 20-12 with 13 minutes left in the first half and the Raptors would call a timeout. 9 of those points came from Hussain Williams. The Raptors would respond with a 7-0 run themselves after the timeout to bring the game within a point, 20-19. The Lions would answer with a 15-1 run to stretch the lead to 35-20 with 4 minutes left in the first half. The Lions would cruise into halftime up 47-29.

The second half the Lions would hold the lead around 20 for the rest of the game before finishing up 15 78-63.

Hussain Williams led the Lions in points (24), rebounds (11), assists (3) and blocks (3) recording his 5th double-double since joining the Lions in January. Charles Neverdon scored 18 with 3 assists. Shakur Smith recorded 15 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists off the bench.
