Montgomery College Hosts Annual Holiday Basketball Tournament This Weekend.

This year's Holiday Basketball Tournament will be held on December 15 & 16 at the Rockville Campus. All the teams in the year's tournament in boast strong team records. The women's tournament field features the 10th ranked Monroe Community College (6-3) from Region III, Wake Tech (5-3) from Region X, Cuyahoga Community College (5-5) from Region XII and Montgomery College (7-3). Monroe CC will play Wake Tech to open the tournament up on Saturday, December 15 at 1 p.m. and MC will play Cuyahoga Community College at 5 p.m.

The men's field features the Nassau Community College (10-3) from Region XV, Mercyhurst North East (8-3) from Region III, Thaddeus Stevens Tech (10-3) from Region XIX and Montgomery College (7-2). The first game of the men's tournament will showcase the NJCAA DIII National Tournament Finalist Nassau Community College taking on DII Mercyhurst North East at 3 p.m. on Saturday and the night cap will feature Montgomery College and Thaddeus Stevens Tech at 7 p.m.

The championship games will be held the following day Sunday, December 16. The women's championship game is at 3 p.m. and the men's championship game at 5 p.m.

Come out and watch some exciting college basketball and cheer your MC Raptors teams to victory! The tournament will be taking place at the Rockville Campus in the PE Building main gym. There is a $5 admission fee for each day of the tournament. Students with a valid MCID and children under the age of 12 are free.
